Special opportunity to learn ballroom dancing at the Embassy of France Learn how to dance the Waltz and Salsa followed by an evening of dancing Event Details Start your weekend festivities by joining us Friday evening at the Embassy of France for our dance soiree to dance the night away in the embassy’s ballroom while meeting other ICDC members and making new friends. You are welcome to come on your own or with friends. A dance partner or prior dance experience not needed to attend! We have combined our popular dance lessons at the Embassy of France with an extended night of ballroom dancing and this is a wonderful opportunity to learn to dance and practice dancing while meeting other ICDC members just in time for our balls and galas later in the year! Let us show you how to dance the Viennese waltz, one of the most elegant and romantic ballroom dances followed by swing and salsa! The dance lessons will be followed by time to dance to a mix of Latin, swing, and ballroom music while you meet ICDC members and make new friends. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a night of dancing at the French Embassy ballroom for only $25! Enjoy French Wine The evening includes a cash bar serving French wine. (Please be sure to bring cash for the bar.) Croque-Monsieur for Dinner You will also have the opportunity to purchase “Croque-Monsieur” (ham (or turkey) and cheese grilled sandwiches) made to order on the premises at the cash bar on the night of the event! Please Note: Please note that since the ballroom dance lessons are held at the Embassy of France, the event might be rescheduled due to official embassy events or security considerations. This possibility is however, very unlikely. Nevertheless we kindly request you to check on the ICDC Web site 6 hours before the event to confirm that the lessons will go ahead as scheduled. In the event that the lessons are postponed, your ticket is transferable to the new date or a future dance lesson at the Embassy of France. Requested Attire Business or cocktail attire requested. The instructor will be on hand to give you advice and answer your questions. 11:00 PM Evening concludes Rain Date Policy Please note that the dance soiree will be held regardless of the weather. The event will go ahead rain, shine, or snow. Kindly note that by purchasing a ticket, you accept the responsibility to arrive at the Embassy of France. Due to expenses incurred, we are unable to offer refunds in the event you are unable to attend the lessons for any reason.
