Celebrate summer with us at the Hilton rooftop, with an evening of live jazz and dancing under the stars amidst the Washington skyline with illuminated monuments at a distance. The evening starts with a live jazz performance at the rooftop setting the stage for a wonderful night of networking and socializing with other ICDC members. You are welcome to come on your own or invite your friends and colleagues to join us! Our rooftop jazz and dance soiree under the stars is a great way to unwind and commence your weekend festivities!
The lively Gibraltar band will be entertaining and playing their well-known Latin infused North African music for the evening. After the live jazz performance, dance the night away to the many exciting variety of genres the band plays. Don't miss this unique opportunity to enjoy spectacular views of the Washington DC skyline while dancing to a live band and enjoying the company of other ICDC members. You do not need to come with someone! Come by yourself or invite your friends to join us. You'll have a wonderful time whether you come by yourself or bring friends and colleagues with you. This is a great opportunity to meet diverse professionals and make new friends from around the world. Let sultry jazz notes and the twinkling, starry sky get you in the mood for dancing and socializing with a fun crowd of internationally-minded professionals at ICDC’s monthly rooftop happy hour.
Gibraltar's music is not restricted to one genre, and the styles of music cross every border that the band members crossed in their paths. Growing up in North Africa as Berbers, we were exposed to different languages (Berber, Arabic, French, English and Spanish) and consequently to different types of music such as rock, blues, jazz, traditional Berber, gipsy, French, rai, and chaabi (popular North African). On stage, Gibraltar sings in all these languages and the repertoire varies between rumba, reggae, gnawi, rai and Berber songs. The variety keeps the music rich and audiences more attracted and interested.
The exclusive rooftop of the Embassy Row Hilton Hotel just off Dupont Circle offers panoramic views of Washington DC as well as surrounding monuments. The hotel will have a pool deck menu at the rooftop so you can order food while you enjoy the company of other attendees and views of DC.
