You will also be invited to a special viewing of 28 outstanding paintings from Papunya, Yuendumu and Balgo. “Circles in the Sand” celebrates some of Australia's most creative Indigenous communities. Historically, much of the art from the desert was painted on the body or drawn in the sand. Since the 1970s these ephemeral images have been produced in permanent contemporary art forms, specifically acrylic paintings on board and canvas.
