Event Details We invite you to visit Great Falls Park at the dawn of summer to experience lush green leaves, nature, wild-life, and fresh air. Great falls is a hidden gem of a National Park located just minutes from Washington DC. However once we are there, and surrounded by nature, you'll feel hours away from DC. At Great Falls, the Potomac River plunges seventy-six feet through a deep gorge creating a series of scenic waterfalls. Our hiking trail is built between the Potomac River and the C&O canal with views of canal and the Potomac River visible from various points of the hiking trail. After the hike we will enjoy a relaxing picnic and lunch before heading back home. Please make sure you are in adequate physically condition to take part in this event. Be prepared to hike around rocks and cliffs. Requested Attire Please dress comfortably according to the weather. Tickets and Registration $12 If you bring an entree* sufficient for 5 people for lunch $18 if we provide an entree on your behalf. * Please, no chips/salsa, crackers, or fast food.
