Discover the history of flight, from the Wright Brothers to infinity and beyond!

Event Details

Come by yourself or with friends to join us on a journey of discovery through the history of humans and the quest to defy the impossible at the National Air & Space Museum at the National Mall! Humankind has constantly looked up to the sky and the stars beyond. Always dreaming, sometimes daring, to push beyond the limits of gravity.

The Air and Space Museum is home to the most iconic original artifacts that document humankind’s foray into the sky—including the Wright 1903 flyer, the Spirit of St. Louis, the Apollo 11 command module Columbia, and even a real lunar rock! From the Invention of Flight to the Space Race, the National Museum of Air & Space exhibits feature hands-on displays and informative pieces that guide you through the adventure of flight.

Join us as our docent takes us on a journey born in imagination, and made a reality in the sky!

Before the tour, meet us at the McDonald’s in the Wright Place Food Court inside in the Museum in the West wing. Get to know some of your fellow travelers through the fascinating journey of man in flight. Our museum tours are one of our most popular events and always sell out well in advance. Please reserve your tickets early.
